Review of St Peter's Hospice - Community Team written by a patient
23rd September 2015

I found the care extremely helpful. For someone to listen to how you feel and to give advice was very reassuring. I also found the experience of day care relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The lunches were excellent along with afternoon teas. The staff always had time to listen and a friendly smile.

Review of St Peter's Day services - Day Care Unit written by a patient
23rd September 2015

With all the other people it was fun but was not aloud to post a card to the family when they pass away. The family might take it gone the day club they were at but why is it only for 12 weeks why not all the time?

Review of St Peter's Day services - Day Care Unit written by a patient

I don't think you can improve, it is so good. I don't want to leave. I hope I can come again. St Peter's have given me hope and taught me to enjoy the day. Try to be as independent as you can. They are really kind, everyday and hear us with the greatest respect. Sorry about writing my hand is shaking.

Still receiving care.Compassion of the staff is invaluable. The fact that they are not rushing in and out because they are pushing to get somewhere else.

Review of St Peter's PSS - Bereavement Services written by a patient
23rd September 2015

The assessment was good and gave me hope that the bereavement support would be helpful. However the person giving support was clearly not a qualified counsellor. The space did not feel safe and it was not helpful at all. In fact it was quite distressing to open up to an individual who clearly could not support a person grieving. Very dangerous!

Review of St Peter's PSS - Social Work written by a patient

Why do we only care for 12 weeks can't we care each week on the day you give out it's only one day as now I feel I need to come back as I don't feel too good. I am going down to see my doctors as, thing. My concern and the pain is not too good.

Review of St Peter's PSS - Arts Psychotherapies written by a family member
23rd September 2015

It helped me though a very difficult time having someone other than family or friends listen to me without judgement but acceptance and allow me to work through images that had been haunting me for a long time. It is a great service and much needed for people who struggle with expression through wards. Also so helpful to be provided away from the Hospice.
